Sutherland, George Eaton, 1843-1899.

Born in Burlington, New York, Sutherland served in the Union Army before attending college and law school. He practiced law in Ripon, where he had previously attended Ripon College, and Fond du Lac, Wis. He became a State Senator in 1879. In 1886 Sutherland moved to Milwaukee and entered a law practice.
